Satellite to launch in July
The first satellite in the Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) program has been delivered by Lockheed Martin to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla., and will be prepared for a July 30 launch aboard an Atlas V. The multi-satellite AEHF system, successor to the five-satellite Milstar constellation, will provide the military with global, protected, high capacity and secure communications. Canada, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom participate in the AEHF program and will have access to the communications capability of AEHF.
