RR flying test bed in Tucson
TUCSON, Ariz. -- A Rolls-Royce Boeing 747 "flying test bed" is at Tucson International Airport as part of a project with Raytheon Technical Services to test the Trent 1000. Raytheon won a contract with Rolls-Royce to provide site test and maintenance operations services for the flying test bed. The Rolls-Royce engine is designed for the Boeing 787.
