FIRST kickoff set for Saturday

STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- NASA's Stennis Space Center will host the FIRST robotics kickoff event Saturday, Jan. 7. This is the eighth year SSC has hosted the robot-building event for FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Activities begin at 9 a.m. with a presentation at StenniSphere auditorium. Members from 41 participating teams from Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi will be provided with details on this year's competition to be held in the spring.
